La Gringa - Cuernavaca

I love eating tacos. The advantage is that you can order just one and if you are still hungry, you can order another, which is brought to your table almost immediately. Lately, I have been ordering the Alhambre Pastor, which (if you are hungry) is...an exception, and large dish.

This is one of the best places to get tacos al pastor and gringas in Cuernavaca. It's always crowded because the locals love it.

We were strolling around the north end of Cuernavaca and came across this place. We had done our TripAdvisor research, but still just stumbled onto it. Though it was mid-afternoon, we sat down for a few al pastor tacos. Delicious and just cents. Went...back with fellow tourists. Had the La Gringa taco, which is a mound of al pastor meat with melted cheese on top. Went back again the other day I had my wife had al pastors. The kid at the next table had plus some grilled tripe; his mom had It's that kind of place. Go, eat the al pastor and explore the rest of the menu. It's homey, clean, and delicious.

This taqueria has hands down the best gringas in Cuernavaca! For those of you that don't know, Gringas are a Taco of Pastor (seasoned beef) in a flour tortilla with cheese (and pineapple and coriander as optional). They go great with green sauce or red sauce and lime.Overall this is a good taqueria with cheap prices and fast food.
