I live near the Maple Block and I'm a native Texan who moved to LA seven years ago. I've eaten here many times and typically been disappointed and wrote reviews. Friday night was different, it was great. The chicken has always been excellent. Would have had sausage but they were out so we had ribs. They were delicious. Beans, slaw, Mac and cheese done to perfection. BBQ is never inexpensive but it was worth it.

The mac and cheese was absolutely fantastic! The outdoor seating area is lovely and has heaters for added comfort.

Unfortunately, the food was quite dry, and the salad was simply dressed with a basic vinaigrette. While the ambience is pleasant, I don't think it's worth a visit. There were only six other patrons here on a Sunday around 4 PM, which speaks volumes. However, the manager was very friendly.
