Metro Cafe - Culver City

This charming café, located inside a motel, offers some truly exceptional dishes. I sampled the French toast with fruit and a Japanese fried chicken sandwich, both of which were fantastic. The chicken was exceptionally juicy with a perfectly crispy skin, served on a brioche bun alongside a wonderful slaw. Even though I'm not usually a fan of slaw, I found this one surprisingly delicious. I must deduct one star for the slow service, but I wholeheartedly recommend this place and will certainly return.

We chose this restaurant because it was conveniently located next to our hotel and we anticipated standard café dishes. To our delight, the food was beautifully presented. The French toast was the best we've ever tasted, and the pancakes were outstanding too. This place is definitely worth a visit, particularly on a weekday morning when it's nice and quiet.

The food and service at this restaurant were exceptional. Every dish brought to nearby tables appeared so delicious that I couldn't help but wish I had ordered them too. Their thinly sliced potatoes, cooked on a griddle, achieve a crispy exterior that's hard to replicate at home. I will definitely be coming back!

This popular local café serves both breakfast and dinner. Parking can be a bit challenging since there are only a few metered spots directly in front of the café, although there are public parking options available just a few blocks away, especially on weekends. The ingredients and fruits they use are fresh. I tried the eggs Benedict with salmon; it was good, but the muffins didn't absorb the sauce as well as I had hoped. On the other hand, the French toast was delightful—crispy and perfectly sweetened to my liking. Be prepared for a waitlist on weekends, but I found the service to be very efficient and quick.

My boyfriend and I were absolutely taken with this delightful little restaurant. We initially went in for pancakes, which turned out to be huge and incredibly fluffy, and we ended up ordering the avocado toast too, which was just as tasty. Being a cozy café connected to a hotel, I was pleasantly surprised by the overall experience. If I were staying at that hotel, I would be thrilled to have this place as my favorite breakfast spot.
