I hired Jim to cater a milestone birthday party for my husband, and I was referred to him by long-time customers who have enjoyed his food for years. From our first contact to the day of the event, Jim was incredibly responsive and made it easy to discuss the menu and timing, especially since it was my first time hosting a catered event at home. He ensured the entire process was seamless. The pricing was very reasonable, and he even included some extra items for good luck. The setup was fantastic, exceeding my expectations with all the extras provided, which really enhanced the experience. The food was incredible! The juicy tri-tip melted in my mouth, and the moist chicken had just the right hint of smokiness. The potato salad and veggie beans made for perfect side dishes. I regretted not ordering some of that delicious rice I remembered from the restaurant. The salsa was mild, and when combined with the BBQ sauce, it tied the whole meal together beautifully! I learned that my neighbors could smell the fantastic food from blocks away and were curious about its origin. Everyone at the party raved about the delicious dishes and how friendly Jim and his assistant were. I will definitely consider them for future catering events. This is the best barbecue spot in West Los Angeles. One of my close friends lives in the area, and whenever I visit, we always have a barbecue. Recently, four of us gathered for a lovely little catered get-together. I absolutely love the spare ribs with their juicy red barbecue sauce. The meat is so tender that it practically melts in your mouth. It was my first time here, but my friends come frequently. The side dishes are great too, just like authentic Santa Maria barbecue. I really enjoy this place and hope we can get together often for more barbecue parties!

This was my first and last visit to this restaurant. The half rice and half beans were dry and lacked flavor, so I ended up throwing them away. The tri-tip was tough as shoe leather. For $17.00, the only thing I appreciated was the can of Coke. Seriously, save your money. Santa Maria BBQ? Maybe you should stick to that, or is that why you're here?
