Dudley Wines Cellar Door

We've had Inkwell Wines on our "go to list" (for over two years) since trying a bottle at the Builders Arms in Melbourne.

This was by far the best part of our trip, the wine tasting was great, the food was awesome and the view is fabulous. Although we were there in winter, we sat outside on the deck, as the view was absolutely outstanding. The staff are friendly and knowledgable, so well worth the trip - we stopped on our way back from Cape Willoughby, so made a morning lunch of it. This place really has the best Kangaroo Island has to offer.

Had a lovely lunch on the terrace overlooking the water. Food was fresh, light and tasty and wines were great.

Dudley Wines is a great winery on the east coast of KI about 10 minutes drive from Penneshaw. We popped on for a light lunch and a coffee and we weren't disappointed. Friendly staff welcomed us as we arrived and explained the menu and wine tasting options. Food and wines were great. The winery and cafe is on the Cape Willoughby Road to the lighthouse and the road is only partially sealed but in very good condition and easy to drive in any car.

Priceless views and excellent food! Would return again and again for the gourmet pizzas alone, although all members of our small party loved the buckets of king prawns. The slow cooked beef and beetroot pizza and the King George Whiting pizzas were winners. Our waiteress was freindly, attentive to our needs and we didn't have to wait long for our food. Despite a chilly sea breeze we chose to enjoy the sunshine and rug up with the blankets provided rather than remain inside. Definitely a place to visit if you are on KI.
