I visited this restaurant today for tea and cake after a disappointing experience at a nearby pub. The tea and cake were of great quality and the service was excellent once again. The staff were cheerful, helpful, and always a delight to interact with.

My two friends and I went for lunch at this restaurant. Each of us ordered a different dish and we all thought the food was delicious. I was especially impressed by the chef who went out of her way to accommodate my special dietary needs by altering three ingredients in my croque. She made sure that my meal was suitable for me and I really appreciated her efforts.

After taking a walk along the canal, we stopped by this restaurant. We had to wait for a table as it was busy, but we ordered at the till and paid. I had the shepherds pie and my wife had a jacket potato. The service was quick and the waitress was pleasant. The food was much better than expected, especially the pie which was great. My only quibble was that I would have preferred a mug of tea instead of a pot with a cup, saucer, and milk jug. Overall, it was very good and we are planning to go back again tomorrow. I highly recommend it, but please don't go so we can secure a table!

Overall disappointing. Not at all busy at time of visit but delivery of food was very slow. Selected the croque madam which came completely overcooked, the cheese over the top was done to a crisp/ almost burnt and impossible to cut a simple dish ruined. Coffee on the other hand was good. If I return it will be only for coffee and cake

Awful. Overpriced. I had a jacket potato that was just so starchy and chucked in a microwave. The quality for the price is abysmal.
