Bidra med feedbackMy brother brought me to lunch for the first time yesterday. He wanted to bring me here because he was eating here the last time he was here. The other reason I went to this place is because I haven't been in this part of Daly City for many years after I moved to San Francisco. I ordered a Veggie Burrito and my brother ordered a Super Beef Burrito. We were really lucky to find a nice table on the back of the restaurant. The staff was quick and efficient in the reception and preparation of our orders. Our orders were delivered to our table as quickly as possible. Although the tortilla of my Veggie Burrito was a bit hard and could have been a bit softer, it was still quite large and had many guacamole and Rice. Overall, my Burrito was good. We had a very nice lunch here and I would recommend if you are ever in this part of Daly City.
Ordered a super steak burrito on my way home and was charged $11 and some change, so it is average to other places. The first time this restaurant tries, but it was in my way to come home through San Bruno mountains. I wanted a Burrito for dinner and was misleading by YELP that this place was closed at 8:00. It really closes at 7:30, but they start clearing and cleaning between 7:00 and 7:15, so your options are limited to Burritos after 7. I ordered a Steak Super Burrito and it was okay, but there was something missing. I'm not sure. Flavor? More rice? Something was missing. At least it wasn't super greasy like the Mexican food truck parked near Wendy's on the block. When I walked around with things, it went well and my belly filled up until I found a rock. It's not a cooktop grill fat, it's a hard asphalt skirt. I guess I won't be back.
The last call for dining in is at 7:10 PM, and by 7:15 PM, the chairs were already on the tables. They won’t allow you to order for dinner in the indoor area after 7:10 PM. I decided to try one of the specials on the chalkboard – Tacos Dorados with chicken and potato for $11. Unfortunately, they were a disappointment as the cook drizzled a red sauce over the crispy tacos, making them soggy by the time I got home. I could barely taste the chicken or potato filling. On the bright side, the chips were decent along with the complimentary salsa, but the size of those tacos left me still feeling hungry.
We ordered a total of 8 super tacos and 2 large horchatas. Let me tell you, these super tacos are absolutely packed! I thought I could handle 4 for myself, but I was definitely humbled. My top two favorites were the shrimp tacos. The shrimp are a good size, not small at all, which is perfect for the tacos. The extra sauces drizzled on top really enhanced the flavors, creating an explosion of taste. The carne asada tacos were excellent too. They're a classic choice for a reason; you can never go wrong with them. On the other hand, I wasn’t too fond of the carnitas tacos; the meat had a strange taste. Luckily, the amazing toppings made it somewhat redeemable. As for the horchatas, they were fantastic! Easily some of the best I've had on the peninsula; naturally sweet and free from any artificial powder taste. I will definitely be returning to try more items! :D
I ordered two enchiladas, and they were absolutely delicious! This is my favorite Mexican restaurant.
