Scoop Deck Ice Cream - Dana Point

Marvelous coffee, bagels, and other meals. Beautiful view with lots of outside seating right on the harbor walk. Just go- you will so enjoy it!

I was not a fan of the ice cream. It didn't seem worth $6 a scoop, but also there just wasn't flavor.I will say that the first ice cream flavor I got which was raspberry sherbert, i didn't like. It was so tart, i was expecting something sweet. Ya know, sherbert. I threw it away and got back in line to get another one. They replaced it green of charge which was awesome. But the cookies and cream flavor ice cream I got was just okay.

Seems ridiculous to insist people stand in two different lines one for food and one for coffee drinks. Food was not all that, but the setting was decent, in that it's right on the harbor and you can sit and see all of the boats. The coffee drink I had was very over priced and the service was poor and unfriendly in both lines. Not encouraged to visit again.

Was the worst ice cream just flacked away, ice cream cone (one scoop) and root beer float cost us $16 and we couldn't eat it. We went in and talked to them about it and the girl said yeah we get bad batch's once in a while nothing we can do about it. We have been there before and not had that type of service but this was unacceptable

Nice ice cream shop with a variety of unique flavors. They don't offer samples so we got screwed with one of our choices. Banana Caramel Chocolate Chip 1/5 Tasted very much of chemicals instead of fresh bananas as advertised. Think of a banana flavor Now And Later candy. BLEH. Hawaii Sea Salt Caramel 4/5 I think this was legit good but the horrible banana caramel ice cream overpowered this and ruined the entire cup. I'd suggest sticking to your favorite flavors when you visit here and avoid the intriguing, quirky flavors. I've been to better ice cream parlors but at least this place is situated along the pretty waterfront.
