Taqueria El Torito - Dana Point

Food was just average. Service was good but slow and a little disjointed. It was not a busy time of day. Food was presented well. Chips and salsa average. Good views of Dana point.

Great location,I wish they had outside seating. The food was decent and delicious. Low verity on draft beers.(just 4 and they were out on 2 of them) I do recommend it.

I had my sisters birthday dinner there and wow, what a mistake that was. It started with the stale chips that came to our table. We asked for another batch and it was just as bad. We ordered our drinks and they also got that all wrong. We ordered our foodand some of us got it before others and we had to wait for everyone to get their food before we ate and our food ended upgetting cold. And when finally the others got their food we ordered more drinks from the bar and we never got those but later onsaw that they charged us for them anyways. As you could see in our pictures, none of us were remotely happy. Listen, if yourgoing to El Torito just because it?s in Dana Pointe it doesn?t mean that the service is good only because the view is. We allenjoyed the company but not the food or service.

Great location and a good lunch menu. There was a good selection of lunch items and many items were large portions. Enjoyed the lunch combo with the tamale and a chicken taco. Everything was hot so happy about that. The taco fell apart when picked up butstill tasty. The tamale didn?t have that much chicken but the flavor was good. Make sure to check before you eat there wasstill some remaining foil from the wrapper. Chips and salsa were good but the view is what it?s all about. The service was greatand the staff was very attentive. Will definitely come back. Lastly, they had one of the yummiest flan I?ve had in a while.

El Torito has good food and service but the margaritas are very weak and poor. We went for classic Taco Tuesday and enjoyed the tacos, but we were so disappointed in the drinks. So we left and went next door to Harpoon Henry's. They have a phenomenal happyhour with tasty Mai Tai's. Next time we will just go there! This photo is from Harpoon Henry's!
