Gallo Family - Danbury

Eggplant Parmigiana was inedible. It was a small square with grill marks on top and dark eggplant that seemed like it was made a week ago and just reheated. Chicken Marsala literally made my wife ill. She ate half of it and decided it was meh, but it wasn’t friendly once it got inside her. We would not go back to this restaurant.

Despite the mixed reviews online we decided to give it a try anyway. The service was terrible, after finally decided what to order the server came back and said this was last weeks specials sorry. We also ordered an old fashion drink which was absolutely horrible. Very disappointed so we ended up walking out.

We had some friends in town and brought them to Gallo Family. The service was friendly and professional, the food was delicious (our friends raved about it), the wine choices were good and the pricetag was reasonable for the meal we had. A lovely evening!

We very much enjoyed our meal at Gallo. Food was good and the staff were attentive. We will be going back.

Excellent traditional Italian food, great service and value. Truly like a home cooked meal
