The Hangout - Danville

What a fun local place! Don't let the exterior fool you it's simple, but the inside is great. Start with the amazing wait staff bartenders (We sat at the bar they were all super nice and cool (our bartender even switched one of the tv's to Turner Classic Movies for us! , and helpful in choosing food. The food came out hot and delicious (the hand cut fries are a must , and the place was clean and full of locals. Another cool thing the chairs at the bar are like BIG BOSS office chairs! Totally fun...Go and enjoy!

The grilled cheese was ok. The french fries were good. My husband's chili came out cold, and they replaced it. It is a good place to stop off the Mohican Trail.

I am not one to bash anyone... or any establishment... BUT. 4 of us went in on Thursday night trying to get a few beers and dinner after a day of hunting... we were not greeted by anyone whatsoever.. we found an empty table and sat down. We were not spoken to in the 10 minutes we waited to get menus, or order drinks... so we walked out. We decided to give it another shot on Saturday night, looking to celebrate one of us harvesting a buck.. the 4 of us stood there by the bar, not greeted by anyone except an older gentleman that was sitting at the bar.. I asked if we seat ourselves and he said yes... wherever you want. We sat at the table at the end of the bar and again, waited long enough to almost walk out before a waitress put silverware on our table and walked away without saying anything... we wanted wings... they were out of wings, so we ordered fried pickles... they were out of fried pickles.... Two of us ordered steaks and two of us ordered pizzas. They took forever, and they were not very good at all. To sum things up, if you’re looking for service or good food.. I wouldn’t hit the hangout. We ended up at “the bender” up the road instead... amazing, quick service and delicious food.

Beautiful large place. Bar and restaurant, daily specials. Very good service and prices. Local place, totally updated, can accommodate large families. Clean , clean, clean.
