Bidra med feedbackI recently tried a delicious burrito in Adelaide, so I was excited to try the $3 Tuesday tacos at a restaurant in Darlinghurst. The beef, pork, and chicken tacos were full of flavor, which is important to me. However, the cherry and fried chicken tacos were bland and served somewhat cold. The tortillas looked strange and the filling was lacking, but there was plenty of sauce. At $3 each, they were a good deal, but at the regular price of $5, they were not worth it compared to Guzman. The mojito was decent but overpriced.
My husband and I have visited this restaurant several times for casual dining when we are looking for a laid-back atmosphere and good value for our money. The meals are generous in size and full of flavor, especially the delicious sweet potato chips. The staff are extremely friendly, even when they are clearly busy.
Working in the area, I often wonder why this restaurant with its funky interior is rarely busy. Today, I finally found out why. Just like they would never tell New Yorkers to order Mexican food in Sydney, Beach Burrito offers a confusing selection of subpar Mexican food that tastes more like "slop in a pack." Despite the high prices, the burrito I ordered was disappointing, so I left most of it untouched. The only redeeming quality of this place was the cheerful service.
This place was such a delight! My friends and I ended up here because of the long wait at Buffalo Dining and it was so worth it! Forget Mejico and Flying Fajitas Sisters. This is the real deal. Simple food made well! I would recommend sharing this food with someone so that you get to experience everything. The jalapeño poppers, the chimichanga, the nachos and tacos were all fantabulous. And yes I tried them all!
Great food but it's a little pricey. It's definitely better than MadMex, but it's much more expensive. Overall, it was a good meal and it'll probably be back because it's really good mexican food.
