This is comforting if you're driving by and contemplating a stop, even when it seems busy. While the atmosphere is generally pleasant, the crowds may pose challenges for those with mobility issues. I believe this store initially specialized in meat before expanding to include produce to compete with local businesses that offered both. Now, they stock a wide variety of grocery items, much like Canadian Tire started with tires and Princess Auto likely began with auto parts. We live too far away to shop here regularly, but if we were closer, we would definitely be regular customers at Gateway!

This is an excellent spot to fill your freezer! The prices for meat products are among the best in HRM. The only drawback is that getting in and out can be quite challenging. The place is almost always crowded, and if you need to turn left when leaving the parking lot, it can be quite tricky. If you're planning to visit, your best option is to go during the week when people are at work.

Every time I visit, I'm consistently amazed by the generous portions of meat I receive for the price! It's no wonder they are always so busy. Don't let a line discourage you; they process orders incredibly quickly at checkout! The staff is also extremely friendly.
