Worst fish n chips ever. the batter was like rubber and the fish was raw in the middle, also the chips were soggy and cold . don’t waste your money !!!!

My family took me to The Proper Pie Company for my birthday. My husband knows how much I loved scones and clotted cream when I was in England. We drove over an hour to have this amazing experience. I was NOT disappointed. The ladies that worked there were very kind and helpful. I got the pot of tea and scones, plus a chicken and broccoli pie. My husband got the fish and chips and my son got the chicken and chips. We were stuffed and loved every bite. I was thrilled that we could purchase some for another time and thankful for the kind and patience service we received. We are already planning on our second trip and I'm making plans with family to experience this amazing jewel in Haines City.

Made a 40 minute trip because of the reviews so I got a bunch of stuff: I did order fish and chips to eat there fish was just ok, the chips were not good; as other reviews have said, kinda rubbery. I have had authentic overseas so maybe was expecting too much. Took pies home for later and I have to say the chicken, leek pie was very good. Eccles cake was more like a flat cookie, the sausage rolls were just average. So I would recommend the pies over anything else unless you 're British and specifically missing something from home. I would go back if I had a hankering for some kind of pot pie type thing, other than that, pass.
