Golden Sun Chinese - Davis

The best Chinese food in Davis. Tonight we had beef chow fun with black bean sauce, chicken with plum sauce, wonton soup, and salt and chili pepper spare ribs, each of which was a cut above what you normally get. The place is rarely crowded, perhaps because of its plain appearance. The take-out menu is available for pickup or delivery and there is a lunch menu. I have been taking my family here for years and frequently get the excellent egg foo young. The prices are reasonable, the service is friendly, and the owner does the cooking himself. Many vegetarian options.

I have always found the staff to be friendly, and the service quick and accurate. The lunch specials are a great value. There's not a lot of restaurants in the area, but it's nice to have some good places and variety. I would definitely recommend.

This restaurant outshines all the other Chinese places in Davis. My girlfriend really enjoyed the veggie chicken, and I thought the General's chicken was fantastic. It is on the pricier side, but that's pretty typical for Davis. The only downside was the delivery time, which took about an hour and 20 minutes. However, good Chinese food is rare in this area, so despite the wait, I highly recommend Golden Sun.

I ordered delivery from this restaurant for the first time and I have to say, their fried rice is amazing! I had never tried it before, but I was pleasantly surprised. I also forgot that they offer free fried wontons when you spend a certain amount, but they kindly included them with my order. The best part is that the food arrives hot and fresh. I’m really impressed!
