Bidra med feedbackNice restaurant with a large traditional Swiss dining room. The menu was extensive as was the wine list. The restaurant serves both traditional and seasonal dishes, and we were fortunate enough to be there for their wild game offerings. We can attest to the exquisite...flavors of both the deer and the rabbit. The waiter had been in Davos for over 20 years, was talkative, and has seen/experienced most things possible in that time. Overall, it is a very enjoyable place for a nice and relaxing dinner.
It was very quite and not much going on but the food was very good and not to pricy.
Very traditional surroundings, great choice of food, the staff were very attentive and friendly and we love the extras, the rolls pate and garlic butter and the petit fours at the end. I had the pork escalope and my companion a great entrecot steak. Ther was also a choice of curry dishes as specials that week. All very tempting. We had good beer and wine here and a lovely chat with the Maitre d. This is a restaurant to treasure and enjoy, we would heartedly recommend this restaurant.
Different menu each night, how does the French chef do it. Roberto the head of the restaurant explains the different courses if needed and will always suggest an alterative or smaller size.
I stayed at the hotel this restaurant is connected to so ate here every night for one week. The waiters are very friendly and welcoming, they certainly get to know your likes/dislikes and your food/drink preferences which is pretty fantastic. They have an extensive wine list and quite a few unusual bottles you won't see at other restaurants. The food however was quite average, sometimes really disappointing. From 7 days of dinner, I never once walked away thinking the food was really great even though I wished I could. Soups on different days - mushroom, beef broth, tomato etc were all so bland, I don't think they know how to add herbs for flavour. Of all the main courses I ate, the only memorable one was Venison which melted in the mouth and was cooked perfectly. Lamb was terrible - all fat with so little meat I might as well have just had vegetables. Salads were really good though with lovely dressing choices of cream French or oil Italian. Desserts were probably the best part of any 4 course meal - all made by their chefs and outstanding from fresh banana ice cream to mousse cakes. If I was not staying at the hotel, I wouldn't make an effort to eat here especially. I saw lots of Swiss and Germans every night and maybe they think this food is great by their standards, but it certainly lacks everything from a worldwide standard.
