Macker Seafood - Daytona Beach

Fried food super salty!! lady cooking seems rude. Didn’t add hush puppies to my basket, and when I asked about it she said “oh yea, I just didn’t fried them.”? (Don’t understand why, there’re included in the order)Then hidden charges when using credit card, for each purchase. ? Too many other great seafood places in Daytona!!

I'm a person who rarely writes a review, but I am making the point to do it tonight : In town on vacation, and my friend and I were looking for some classic seafood places for dinner tonight after the beach. Searching high and low avoiding the typical bar/grill corporate seafood restaurants, we stumbled upon Macker. This classic neighborhood seafood eatery that delivers freshness and flavor way above the high end restaurants with ratings. Amazing food and hospitality! :

The seafood here is incredibly fresh and high-quality. It's a family-run establishment, which adds to its charm. We tried the steamer basket, grilled and blackened scallops, and the shrimp basket, and all of them were fantastic. The hush puppies were clearly made in-house, perfectly sweetened so that you won't even want to dip them in ketchup. We also enjoyed the homemade smoked fish dip, made with fish that they smoke right on the premises. I'm already looking for an excuse to go back!
