Rossellinis Italian Cuisine

Kyrie is wonderful! attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu/species. also the bartender, she made us christmas margaritas who were very good! we had thrown and pfeffer for a starter (it is a meal, but it is what I wanted! I had lasagne and my husband had the talapia. we ordered the tiramisu to go, but it ended up in the restaurant to eat! nice to visit this place for Christmas night dinner!

We ordered the chicken fettuccine Alfredo, caprese, lemon drop martini, tropical martini, and the shrimp fettuccine in the white wine sauce. The house bread was good as well. The service can’t be beat, we wanted for nothing while we were there because they were so attentive. It’s clean and has a nice atmosphere. Presentation of food was great. No real issues with the place other than the food was just okay. Good but not amazing. We would still stop back in when in town again.

The food was great! The servers were very attentive. It was a great place to just have a good meal. Prices were expected because of location. However I would have spent it anyway because the food was worth it. The one thing that surprised me is that they don't offer salad with the meal. I've been to a good amount of Italian restaurants (definitely not just Olive Garden and Carrabba's) and they include salad. They do include bread but according to our server you don't get it until after you've ordered (idk about that) but ok. She said it was baked to order but when she brought it out which was less than 2 minutes after we ordered it, the bread wasn't warm and the butter that they give you in a little cup tasted like old refrigerator (without these issues I would have given the restaurant a 5 but the experience is based off all items put in the table). I hope they change the butter out more often because that wasn't appetizing at all. I however will return based off the food alone but I hope my fresh bread is still warm when I get it and the butter can just taste like butter lol. The picture is the spaghetti with meat sauce. It was a good portion, you won't be disappointed!

Out of the whole meal the only things good about the place were the mozzarella in my Mediterranean salad, the red wine and the portions. Nothing memorable about the dinner. I think they need a new chef. We go to an Italian restaurant here in Melbourne called The Dove which consistently serves fabulous food, Rossellini’s can take a lesson or 2 from the dove. It was also our anniversary dinner so the experience was anti climactic. Should’ve gone somewhere else. Oh well…

I will say the location and the ambiance are the two strongest points for this business. The patio area is very nice to dine with family and friends. The quality of the food does not hold up to other more popular Italian restaurants. The price is a just as high as other more popular restaurants. The restaurant is very clean. The lobster fettuccine was very lack luster with no real flavor. The meatballs had a very basic flavor. The godfather margaritas was very small for the price. The bread was very tasty. The spaghetti was oily and salty.
