Bidra med feedbackOne of the best Old Fashioned drinks I have ever had! Really great place located above the bar and our waitress was amazing! Highly recommend the drinks and food, especially the brussel sprouts.
Don’t waste your time or money. Three ribeye dinners cost $170, as the menu didn’t list the price, “market price.” Two were ordered rare that came out medium and one medium rare came out medium well. We should have sent them back, but we waited 30 minutes for the steaks and we didn’t want to wait that long again. The place is nothing special to see, so I’d recommend going across the street.
Ribeye was cooked perfectly, but expensive. Service was friendly but slow.
We should of turned around once we walked in and heard people complaining. At the host stand they were nice but defensive to complaining guests. A guy was running around in jeans and baseball cap (who I later talked to and he said he was manager but thrown into role as he was a dishwasher last summer). He seemed lost and didn’t know how to respond to upset customers : they had to wait 45min, didn’t get salads before meal, no bread with meal as previously had, and food was not worth price. Call us stupid as we should of left then but has been here three other times most recent being last June (FABULOUS then The baseball cap manager guy had no idea where to seat who and seemed nice enough but not really fit fit his role- or dressed for it either. We did get seated and waiter seemed nice enough-we had to ask for our drinks, remind him for appetizer which ended up coming with salad ? The couple across from us got their salads after the meal and then someone brought them another salad asking how they got the first two. They didn’t even eat salads as they were almost done with meal. When we finally got our meal the steaks ordered-rare and medium well looked the exact same. Why send back as it takes forever as it is. The bottle of wine ordered with meal came during our last bites. There was no way that was $48 6oz ribeyes or $4 salads that cost extra. I used to love selection and good and it was an upscale place to get with good food. This experience sucked. Overpriced not good food we just wanted to experience to be done. I’m not sure how it went downhill so far in a year but whoever is manager now need to seriously re evaluate. Would not recommend to anyone. Prices are way way out of market even in todays world. The excuses we were given when asked servers and workers: I’m new, you don’t understand food service, I just got into this role, the cook is difficult to work with, we can’t help they don’t communicate …. Our server tried but obviously was not trained well I think he would be better trained properly and I’m not talking just the language barriers if several workers- I’m talking training of how to do things. Seriously whoever is truly in charge you have changes to make. Not recommended to go there ever again. waste of time. Waste of money.
Arrived on a Saturday night 7pm to a restaurant that was almost empty. Grumpy old man at the host stand wearing a baseball cap didn't bother to look up or greet us and was not welcoming. Menu has been scaled back, BUT NOT THE PRICES! They were out of 4-5 dinner entree items (steaks, pork chop and fish) that we inquired about, so ended up with a blah chicken alfredo dish that was barely warm. The two side-dining rooms and bar area were dark/closed. Waiter was a nice young woman who tried her best but wasn't trained and presented the check 3-4 times with errors. It's unfortunate, because Social Club used to be one of the best and most popular places in Deadwood - not anymore
