Bidra med feedbackUpon first walking in, it has that smell of, can't quite describe it (it's not pleasant). Like most old kitchens that probably need an update, this one smells like it needs one. For the price of a catfish meal, the pieces were small, the fries were mostly soggy and the hush puppies are not hush puppies. They're little logs? The fried pickles, sadly are not worth the price either. They are so thinly sliced and coated with a lot of batter. So you're mostly eating batter, could barely taste the pickle. The cashier at the front didn't seem friendly, maybe she just wasn't having a good day. Overall, our server was very nice and polite. The food I'd give an overall rating of 3. Plenty of room for improvement.
My favorite catfish place! The food is always excellent. I LOVE the salad bar and the beans. I don't know what they put in their red beans, but there are none better.
Food was just ok. I have had frozen dinners just as good. The best part of the food was the salad bar. I do not plan on going back.
Little tricky getting out in a semi but the food is worth it 10/10 would go again
We love this restaurant. When my best buddy Tom lived, we drove almost 2 hours to eat there. As a hotshot trucking operator, I'm occasionally over there, but it's either late or I'm in a hurry to hit DFW traffic. I had to take my truck to a nearby diesel shop, so we made a day to eat there. Food was as good as we remembered to choose a lot. Salad bar, pint beans and the largest shrimp from any place we've ever seen. Like eating a piece of chicken. The service is great, friendly and attentive. My only regret is that we live so far away to dinate more often.
