Bidra med feedbackThis is a beautiful casual place with an open airy feeling for it. It's a great date night spot! I loved the decor, modern and yet comfortable. The service was very good, our waitress was very attentive. She took the time to explain everything and answered all our questions. She was very patient, so we didn't feel any hurry at all. My wife and I only had the tacos, so I can only comment on them... they were great! Very tasty and damp, bursting with taste! Many things in the menu sound scrumbling, I will be back to try them all. At the end of the evening, the manager stopped at our table to talk to us. He was very personal and friendly. Talking to him was a nice touch before we were gone. He made us feel even more welcome and probably return.
Good restaurant with interesting and yummy tacos. Parking enough and free. Comfortable seating. Free match sticks for take out. Bar is present as well.
Really good food and drinks. The atmosphere is so trendy it makes you say, Are you sure we 're in the suburbs? Love coming here. They used to be pretty slow but I think they 've worked out the kinks. Great place to go after work for a margarita and some chips and salsa.
First, I have to say how much I love the fact that you can add your name to the waitlist prior to arriving. BarTaco does it right and that helps a ton and I think makes for a really excellent business! Next, I loved the restaurant decor and how clean the place was! The drinks came fast and the tacos came out hot and delicious! My wife was very impressed for our date here and for that I am very grateful. We’ll be back!
Bartaco is situated at the corner of a large plaza, away from the shops. Even though they share a parking lot, there's plenty of space, so parking isn't an issue. The restaurant is relatively new, and the building is beautiful both inside and out. I love the interior design, featuring high ceilings and plants hanging everywhere. The bar area also stands out, with transparent shelves and fresh juice presses. The service was excellent. The hostess informed us there was a 20-minute wait for a table on a Monday night, but the bar had available seats, so we opted to sit there instead. I actually preferred it because I could see the kitchen on my left, and bartenders were right in front of me, making it easy to get what I needed and to observe the whole space. The bartender was attentive, explained the setup, and walked us through the menu. For me, the food is Bartaco's biggest asset. Yes, the tacos are smaller than what you’d find at your local taqueria, but they’re the perfect size for trying multiple options while still leaving room for dessert. After a long day and feeling really hungry—my bartender mentioned about 3-4 tacos per person—I ended up ordering 7. Each taco was distinct, each with its own flavor. For instance, the falafel with its tatziki-like sauce was fantastic, the tuna taco was served on a leaf of lettuce with amazing sauce, and the cauliflower—though I couldn’t figure out the secret to its perfection—was my personal favorite. Oh, and those homemade salsas! There were three on the table (roja, jalapeño, and habanero), and they were simply delicious. Now, regarding prices: While the smaller plates and additional fees can add up, I’d much rather pay a bit more for smaller portions than be stuck with one large plate I can't finish. Plus, it allows you to sample many more items from the menu. Our check for two was about $75, which is slightly above our usual average, but given that Deerfield and surrounding areas have a higher average income, that's completely reasonable. To anyone who rated it 3 stars, I say checkmate. And thank you for reading this far! P.S. They don’t serve draft beer, only cans and bottles, and they don’t accept Apple Pay.
