Skillet's - Del Rio

I ordered a club sandwich and I won't be ordering it again when I go back. The bread was half toasted and everything was dry, and the bacon and turkey were cold. I didn't ask the other 8 people in our group about their experience. I heard that the restaurant is under new ownership or management. They need to improve their quality. The service was also slow.

I visited another restaurant for breakfast before trying Skillets, a clean diner in Del Rio. The exterior of the building was well-maintained and the parking lot was spacious. The interior was pleasant and comfortable. I was promptly greeted and seated. I ordered a cold and refreshing orange juice, followed by two eggs cooked to medium, bacon, and hash browns. I also decided to add a Belgian waffle to my meal. While everything tasted good, the eggs were slightly overcooked and the hash browns lacked seasoning. However, the bacon and waffle were delicious. The portion size of the waffle was so large that I couldn't finish it. The staff was friendly and efficient. Overall, I enjoyed my meal at Skillets and plan to return in the future.

The chicken and broccoli cheddar soup is excellent. The service is outstanding. I will definitely return!

I found this place by chance. had traveled in the opposite and wanted breakfast. the skillets have appeared on google. so glad that it was. it was very busy during our visit and it took a little to get out for our food. that is expected during peak times. but I'll tell you one thing. it was worth waiting. everything was delicious and cooked for perfection. including my over medium-sized eggs. to get nothing worse than slimy eggs. my vultures were not. loved the cut of the hathbrowns. bacon was a good quality and the biscuits. oh the biscuits. big. homemade. grilled to perfection. decorated in the sausage cake. wow! only wow! I recommend skillets and remember to get hungry because the portions are not vaccinated.

The last time we visited was a few years ago I was disappointed. Fast forward to today the food was great, the service was awesome, very pleasant experience today. We will be returning regularly. Way to go Skillet's.
