Atlantic Ocean Club - Delray Beach

I went there last night with my boyfriend for Valentine’s Day dinner. We will never go back there and would not recommend this place to anyone. When we arrived we were seated in the last set of booths that is upstairs, next to the staircase. This is also right next to the bus boy station and the computer that the servers use. It’s a very busy area to say the least. The back of my booth kept getting bumped into and the entire table would shake. We ordered our drinks and asked for bread. We got 4 croutons! Now, it’s Valentine’s Day and I was trying to enjoy myself so I was ignoring the fact that we had a bad table and that I kept getting bumped into, and the whole crouton situation but the food was an absolute disgrace. My boyfriend ordered the Pompano fish dish which came out ice cold. It was supposed to be a big piece of fish in a tomato broth surrounded by mussels according to the servers explanation when we asked. What it actually was was a little piece of fish with 2 mussels. It was more like a snack then an entree. I ordered the Linguine with clams, mussels and shrimp. The linguine came out extremely overcooked, the mussels were closed and the shrimp were blue, they were completely raw! I sent the dish back explaining this to our server. At this point my boyfriend is just about done with his meal. I had to wait 10 minutes for another plate to come out and eat dinner alone. I told him not to wait for my dish since his was already cold to begin with. He didn’t care for his meal, he just ate it because he was so hungry. When the new plate finally arrived it was EXACTLY the same, except this time there was a piece of a Brillo scrub brush on one of the raw shrimps!! Again, I sent it back. I had no desire to eat anything at this restaurant. Nothing was coming out properly. This restaurant is an absolute embarrassment. Plus, the managers that we did speak too, really didn’t seam to care. At 9pm on Valentine’s Day we had to find another place to eat dinner. The food is the downfall of this restaurant. I think this company focuses too much on decor, and not on the food at all.
