Morikawa V.o.f. Den Haag

De voorbereiding, smaak en presentatie van de vis zijn geweldig. Ik denk dat er maar weinig Japanse chefs zijn die zo'n grondig werk kunnen leveren. Het feit dat alle ingrediënten lokaal geproduceerd zijn, maakt het nog verbazingwekkender. Vooral de lokale paling, waarvan men zegt dat de huid dik en sterk van smaak is, was de beste die ik ooit heb geproefd! Het was smelt-in-de-mond lekker. De sfeer is ook erg aangenaam, een geweldig restaurant. Ik hoop dat zelfs Nederlanders hier de "geest van de Japanse keuken" kunnen voelen.

Geweldig eten. Goede atmosfeer ook, en zeer goede hygiëne.

Di not know if this restaurant was better before but now the sushi is not good quality. The rice is on the firm side as if it had been kept in the fridge and the fish is not tasty or soft. The atmosphere is cold and stale, we were the only ones in the restaurant for dinner. Have been to omakases in Rotterdam, Paris, New York and London and this is simply not good for all the rave reviews. Honestly the nigiris at Oni Japanese restaurant in the center are even better! Sad.

As Japanese as it gets, so far from Japan! The best sashimi and sushi we had in Holland so far. Masterful sushi making, such a pleasure to watch. Fresh ingredients. And staff really speaks Japanese!

A lovely neighbourhood place with excellent food. We had the Chef’s menu which I can thoroughly recommend. We had a very pleasant evening at Sushi Morikawa.
