The Tavern - Denstone

Charming local village pub, just what one hopes for in a pub. It's dog-friendly, with slices of pork pie available at the bar, a great variety of beers, and a lively atmosphere. The food is fantastic; they feature an authentic pizza oven that produces delicious stone-baked pizzas, alongside an extensive à la carte menu during the week and a popular Sunday carvery. They also host live music nights a few times each month, making for a fun evening out. However, the wine selection is not particularly notable and could use some improvement. Service tends to be a bit slow, likely due to being understaffed during our visits, but we don’t mind at all, as we enjoy spending a long, relaxing evening in this pub!

We're heading to the Sunday carvery because it looks delicious and inviting on Facebook, plus I know the owner, and he's really wonderful!

The food was outstanding—hands down the best fish and chips I've ever had! It was great value as well. This was a last-minute visit, but I will definitely be coming back.
