Gourmet Donuts - Denton

This place is really special. There are several donut shops in the area but this place has that extra something that you're looking for. Great donuts, nice selection, fantastic service and good coffee, but I think what's really special about this place are the hand decorated donuts made for holidays, birthdays, and special occasions. Beautiful designs, excellent attention to detail and they taste great! Always pleases my work crowd.

These kolaches and donuts saved a lot of lives. Let me paint you a picture: I was on a work trip in Denton, Tx and was warned that one of the people at that office was less than happy with us coming. We had better bring them an offering. We scoured the internet for the absolute best breakfast pastries in all of Denton and we struck gold with Gourmet Donuts. We pulled up to a low key, unassuming location from the outside with ample parking for the morning rush. Once we stepped inside we were transported into a kawaii wonderland of vibrant colors and yeasty, sugary goodness. We were a little overwhelmed with all of the choices but lucky for us our mandate was to buy entirely too much for seven people total. We asked our server to pick us each a dozen kolaches and donuts and they took care of everything. Seated upon lush donut pillows, we had a brief moment of respite to enjoy our personal vittles before facing an angry dragon. We noticed the photos posted on google reviews did not come close to conveying the full magnitude that is this experience we were having. How fortuitous that one of us is a professional photographer and we set up rectifying this injustice immediately. We submit as evidence the following as a thank you for our very lives.

Ordered thru UberEats and unfortunately they were out of glazed donuts (I ordered two and they were sweet enough to attach cash refund in a bag taped to the box with ADDITIONAL fancy donuts (2 eclairs and 3 fancier donuts that probably cost more than glazed!! that were on the house. Very pleased with this experience as they could have called to let me know and I would have been fine with it. Except, they went above and beyond with their service! I will be ordering again from them as this is very wholesome with or without a pandemic going on. Kudos to Gourmet Donuts, y’all rock!!

This is my favorite place to get donuts. My family loves donuts. It’s that go to, nostalgic, breakfast that everyone loves. It’s a treat but it’s also affordable. Because it’s affordable and the donuts here are delicious I probably come in here 3 or more times a week. The inside of the shop is very clean and so adorably decorated. Coming here is so much more enjoyable than other than the shops, even if you were to just walk in and buy a coffee. That being said I’ve never bought anything from the shop that I didn’t enjoy. The shop has a large variety of specialty donuts, decorative donuts, classic donuts, hot breakfast items, and drinks I could go on and on. I’m also addicted to their iced coffee here. I really wish they sold it in larger sizes. Some days I buy multiple coffees just because it’s so good. Everyone who works here so kind especially when I bring my niece. Everyone smiles and speaks to her. She loves it! Side note, their decorative donuts for children are always really cute and on point. You can tell that they put detail and caring to making them even though it’s for a child. Don’t sleep on this location. Go ahead and try it out. You won’t be disappointed. Also, this place is very efficient and I can get in and out very quickly but I have never felt rushed when purchasing anything here. Everyone is so kind.
