Bidra med feedbackI recently went to the Norman Sea and we go to the breakfast at least 5 times a week. I am always looking for the BEST breakfast in the Norman Sea. today we visited the citrus diner in denver, nc. we defintley will be back. after a few more visits, it can be mine
Had another great breakfast at citrus diner. we were there 10-12 times and eating is fantastically very well prepared, with excellent taste. the only weak point today was the very casual grotte. the staff was very good, so the service was great. that is a small place, but I would recommend it to everyone.
What happened? This place was the go-to place for exceptional breakfast. My last two visits have been less than stellar. Most recent visit...they were out of their famous French toast. Arguably one of their most popular items. Last two visits, we're out I ordered a basic breakfast (eggs, liver mush and grits). My wife ordered an omelet and my daughter got a waffle. Livermush undercooked and sad excuse for grits. Wife's omelet was mediocre at best. Our bill was $48!! My coffee? $4.25!!! What?! Ordered coffee at an upscale restaurant few days later and it was $2. I get inflation, but $48 for a basic breakfast for three is outrageous. I like to give places a second chance, but at their prices I'm not willing to take the risk.
Let me start this off by saying our waitress Anna was PHENOMENAL! She was full of energy and made my wife and I feel very welcomed. Our biggest issue was that we overheard the man who we assume to be the owner, speak poorly about the staff. We sat back and watched him not once lend a hand but talk about how they were worthless. Which I find hard to believe because we never saw ANY of the waitresses stop. We found him to be in terrible taste. Please do better or learn to keep your comments to yourself.
Warning Rude Management and Double Dipping Tips when you place the order on their website... Placed an order online for breakfast as we currently are remodeling our kitchen and cant cook. After placing the order I noticed that the online system was asking/collecting a Tip along with Server Gratuity Fee. I just assumed it was a glitch and would resolve it at the restaurant no biggie. WRONG... When I inquired I was immediately greeted with a condescending woman that would not let me even fully ask my question and interjected now let me speak 1st of all that is rude and not how you should speak to any customer especially in these times as you have many competitors literally across or down the street. Once I realized I was out almost $15.00 in server fees I just accepted it and wanted my food which was ready when I walked in. The manager don't feel she was the real manager hence the s) informed me that she would bring it right out. I saw it already packaged and already past the promised time so thought it was a COVID precaution so people aren't standing around. Well 12 min later annoyed I walk back in to find it still sitting in the same spot that it was when I left and I asked how much longer she sighed and handed it to me like it was so difficult. I don't understand how you can treat a customer like this... especially one that spent $58.78 on two breakfast meals sadly were very good so disappointing that their staff is this way), Prosecco, and a quart of OJ which is $12.00 by the way (I'd skip next time not worth the squeeze literally lol)!!!
