Bidra med feedbackI love love love this little BBQ pit stop.I had 2 ribs and the collard greens and tried so hard to finish all but was stuffed. Couldn 't even finish the last few bites but omg it 's SO good. The greens are easily the best I 've ever had, they have a little bite to them but it 's not over powering and the ribs... Come on! They aren 't overcooked, fall of the bone they 're perfectly timed, with a little tug so you know you 're eating meat and not mush, fall of the bone the exact way a rib should be cooked. I love this place and whenever I get near them, I have to go inside and grab something.
The collard greens were the best I've had. The ribs were for me the clear winner being sweet and spicy! They do have Alabama white sauce though I didn't try it. It is the best Southern-style BBQ I've had in the Northeast.
Brisket is the bomb. Brisket egg cheese is awesome. Juicy tender flavorful meat, running yoke, melted cheese on a fresh roll. Man!
Best BBQ In CT hands down. Highly recommend. I had ribs and wings. They were juicy, tender, and done right. I'll be back!
Good news is the brisket was really good great flavor and texture. I ordered my brisket sandwich lean, but none of the fat was cut off so I had to trim it when I got home. The fries look amazing but don't have much flavor. The service and presentation was the downside. There were 5 people working that I counted but only the woman at the register seemed to be handling the customers. Not sure what everyone else was doing and there was no sense of urgency to help a customer. I will try it again as the meat was pretty pretty good; hoping the off service was a one time thing.
