The Poke Company - Des Moines

I ordered pickup through DoorDash but it’s cheaper to order through The Poke Company itself. Their poke burrito is the perfect portion and seriously so delicious; their fish is wonderfully fresh and all the toppings work really well together too. Overall, a really great spot to grab a cheap and unique bite with free parking.

Great tasting build your own poke bowls. Worth the stop to try a tropical treat. This is a good representative of Hawaiian poke. They mix the flavors to let all the food get the flavors.

Decent food. Love their topping options! The service is terrible though. It almost feels like they're intentionally trying to be rude. Weird.

Poke is delicious, and The Poke Company makes good poke. I enjoyed my ahi tuna bowl, but the overall service and atmosphere isn 't great. There 's no bowl suggestions to help folks decide what they want, which sucks in helping newcomers or even establishing favorites for regular; it 's just a giant board of options staring you in the face and you aren 't sure what goes well together. The staff wasn 't helpful either; I asked what do you recommend and got the response do you want a small or regular bowl of white rice or brown? Very unhelpful. I also got a Thai tea boba, which was the correct color for Thai tea, but I 'm not sure what flavor it actually was, cause it wasn 't Thai tea, and the boba were odd, small gooey things rather than proper boba. I 'm not sure I can recommend this place.

Most average Poke place I have been to. Very limited toppings.... very few sushi proteins and even fewer mix-ins (no corn, no masago...etc). Decent amount of sauces but just overall disappointing. It 's literally a Poke Bowl restaurant and had the least amount of selection I 've experienced. Also, getting out of the parking lot took 5 mins waiting for 5-6 cars to get through in front of me. Wouldn 't come back. Guy working was very nice.
