Bidra med feedbackMy girlfriend and I came to this restaurant on 9/18/2021 for an early anniversary dinner around 5pm. We ordered a large meal and were impressed from the moment we walked in. A server promptly greeted us and seated us in a beautiful booth by the window. They brought us ice-cold glasses of water that did not taste like tap water, which was a big plus. We started with seafood Rangoons and seaweed salad, both of which were incredible. The flavors were amazing, the sweetness was just right, and you could taste the seafood in the Rangoons. The seaweed salad was fresh and perfectly seasoned. The miso and spicy egg drop soups that followed were also delicious. My girlfriend had Thai spicy mango chicken, and I had the Chirashi dinner, both of which were outstanding. Everything looked like a work of art, especially my dish. The sashimi was incredibly fresh and clean-tasting. We enjoyed the food so much that we decided to make this our go-to spot for anniversaries and special date nights. The spider roll, spicy crunchy yellowtail roll, and eel avocado roll were all equally fantastic. We loved every dish we tried. Our bill came out to around $90, and we left a 15% tip. The ambiance was beautiful, with dim lighting and extremely friendly staff. We had another fantastic experience during our most recent visit on 2/3/23. I had sushi, and my fiance had the NY strip, both of which were of excellent quality. The service was perfect, and the staff were friendly. We can't recommend this place enough. It's simply fantastic.
I was surprised by how spacious the restaurant was. Despite being seated near the entrance where it got a bit chilly when the door was left open, it did not affect our dining experience. The food was delicious and the cocktails were excellent. The presentation was impressive and the interior had a stylish atmosphere. The staff were very attentive and we all left feeling satisfied with both our drinks and our meals. Overall, a fantastic dining experience!
This quaint sushi restaurant is cozy and inviting. The food was fantastic, but unfortunately they no longer offer happy hour specials. I ordered the Godzilla rolls and chicken fried rice, while my friend got the Temptation rolls and Crème Brûlée. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere of the place.
I regard it as a good sign when a restaurant is packed and W Tao was very busy the night we dined there. We called ahead and the hostess squeezed us in, but there was otherwise not an empty seat in the place. Our waitress was prompt in taking our order and the food came out quickly. It looked better than the photos and tasted fresh too no leftovers for us. It was great and right up there with other higher quality sushi restaurants we have visited recently.
This is probably the most legit sushi spot in the Midwest. Authentic af..seriously. Toro served with gold caviar pictured.
