Bidra med feedbackI stopped by while passing through town and tried the okra, yams, cornbread, and peach cobbler. Unfortunately, none of it tasted fresh—the cornbread was so hard I couldn't even bite into it. The portion sizes didn't justify the prices, and the flavors were nothing to write home about; they were mediocre at best. I wouldn’t recommend this place. I was hoping to enjoy the same dishes that other reviewers praised so highly.
Best vegan food in Detroit, by far. The catfish sandwich was incredible. Everything was warm, neatly prepared, and super flavorful.
I had the Po'Boy sandwich with a side of collard greens, and I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious both were, especially the sandwich. It's great to have a vegan restaurant just down the street from Moy Hair Essentials in the neighborhood!
I'm visiting from another state and looking for vegan food, which hasn't been easy. It would be more considerate if you could update your hours online, rather than leaving a handwritten note on the door. It feels like a waste of time and effort for people like me who come specifically to dine with you. I won’t be returning after this experience. I can cook at home; I came here for good food and service, but unfortunately, that was lacking. I genuinely hope vegan restaurants succeed, but it will require more effort. This isn't my first visit — I was giving you a second chance.
We ordered the catfish, cheeseburger, collard greens, hopping John and coleslaw. Everything was delicious and hot, fresh and seasoned well. Big props to the owner for running the joint solo the whole day (her employee was sick and she was forced tooperate the entire space alone), she was poised and gracious and just lovely. Great food, great vibe.
