Flapjack - Dewitt

Have been eating here for years! The last time we ate there we weren't favorably impressed. The carpets were dirty gross, full of leaves on the floor between the doors, many lights out, bathrooms weren't as clean as they use to be. We decided we wouldn't be back. I realize many businesses are in direct straits because so many don't want to work...however, imo, there is no excuse for the floors, etc, looking unappealing. Waitress was nice and friendly. Food seemed to take forever...whereas before it was on the table in no time. Sorry for the review, but, you asked!

This place was awesome. We had a large party for breakfast and the waitress overheard my youngest niece say she wanted a heart shaped pancake,this was not a menu option but she had the kitchen make it anyway. What a fantastic experience and exceptional staff.

My wife and I went in for breakfast. We were seated right away. The waitress was great, she was very attentive and kept kept checking in with us. The food was excellent. (kudos to the cook). If you are a coffee drinker, they leave a coffee carfe right on the table.

Haven't been here in a while. Still just as good as it was back then. Great food. Great service. Decent prices for the quality and amount of food you get!

I'm very happy with the quality of this restaurant. We stopped for dinner and ended up getting breakfast. They have pages of breakfast choices that made it difficult for me to choose just one. The waitress seated us right away, immediately took our drink orders and was back within 2-3 minutes with them. She gave us an appropriate amount of time to peruse the menu and helped me decide on my selection. The cooks here not only prepare delicious& tasty food, but must have lightning fast cooking skills because it was ready in a flash. I ordered the breakfast quesadilla and was very pleased with my choice. It was egg, onion, cheese, green pepper and my choice of meat was bacon tucked inside a perfectly crisped tortilla. Served on the side was sour cream and salsa. It was a flavor meld perfection! Hubby got the stack of flapjacks. Three very thick, perfectly browned pancakes and a side of sausage links. The links were the chubbiest links I've ever seen-nothing chintzy with this meal! The waitress was easy to talk to, checked on us making sure we had everything we needed and that the food was good. The restaurant was decorated in Americana, and very clean- as was the bathroom. We are happy we stopped here, this is a great local gem in my opinion!
