The Old Bank - Dinas Powys

I ordered the vegetarian risotto but was instead served vegetarian chili, as it turns out the risotto was unavailable. I would never have chosen the chili because I have a medical condition that requires me to be very careful about my diet. There was no consultation regarding the substitution; I was simply given a different dish with no other options presented. Unfortunately, it led to some negative consequences for me over the following days.

We had a very pleasant evening and the service was for the first time a great improvement. I'd go back there.

Hello! We had a wonderful time during our first visit. The decor is truly amazing. My only complaint is that we ordered several of the same cocktails, and the last round was definitely poured short. We mentioned this to the waitress, who then checked with the manager. They agreed to make us new ones, which was appreciated, but then they took the short cocktails away and disposed of them. This seemed illogical and not great for customer service. Instead of throwing them away, why not just top them off or serve them fresh in the first place? There was no reason to waste perfectly good cocktails just because they were short. Other than that, it’s a fantastic addition to Dinas Powys!

We were here before and unfortunately we booked in an extremely quiet night. I think we would enjoy it more and if it were more business. there were only 3 more tables in the house when we were there. I didn't like to eat that, but my partner didn't. we have decidedw the old menu preferred when I am honest. this menu didn't blow us away. the vibe was missing on Saturday night. but we will hopefully return when it is more busy and even better some live music we missed some weeks ago. the employees are always brilliant, but the menu should be better explained to get customers in terms of the timelines of the dishes. we love the old bank, but so we will be back!

We had a lovely time with our family , however did feel like the old bank was not ready for us , the staff were nice. Food was ok. My husband ordered the berry bowl , it was a whole bowel of yoghurt with 2 strawberries and a couple of blueberries. Not value for money. A berry bowl should be a BERRY bowl! Also why ask if we are booking for a special occasion, I did say it was a birthday and anniversary celebration, i don't understand why you asked that question when we booked? It had no relevance to our booking? I want to say we didn't have an awful experience however felt like because we were the first customers of the day the staff just were not ready for us , which was a shame because it was a double celebration for our family.
