Jack Astor's - Dollard-Des Ormeaux

Food and service are great. The only reason we dont go as often as we use to...is the **** noise from the music....its way to loud. We can hardly hear each other speak..the atmosphère is already loud and to make matters worse they play LOUD music.

July 18, 2017. We were invited to get a nice free dessert for my Spouse's birthday. I had the Classic Burger and Fries and my Spouse had the Quesadill, Poulet with a side salad. For dessert he had the Biscuit Brownie which was big and delicious, free for his birthday. We were served by DANIEL S. He gave us excellent service always going the "extra mile" for us. This is a family restaurant. It is in Gallerie des Sources in Dollard des Ormeaux.

It was a Friday night, my wife and teenage kids were going to the cinema next door and decided to go to Jack Astor's.It took 30 minutes before we were seated( We were told 15 minute wait) and then about an hour for our main course to get there.We had to rush to eat and just made the movie theatre in time for our shows.The funny thing is, there were always available tables and they had 3 lovely ladies at the entrance greeting customers.The place had smoke in the air from the kitchen, poor ventilation.My recommendation, if you have 2 hours and want to smell like smokey BBQ ribs, this is the place.Our server Kevin was great and very attentive.Jack Astor's needs better ventilation, more waiters, and cooks to get the food out.The food was great and the atmosphere good.I like this restaurant and would give it a 5 star if they improved on ventilation, faster seating and a prompt time for the main course.

Last Night was the first time I went to this bar and grill for my birthday and mothers day celebration! My best friend recommended it as she went often and I was curious to experience it. As a pescatarian I was a bit nervous to see if they would be able to have a good selection of dishes, to my surprise on the bottom of the menu they have signs that cater to vegetarian, gluten free or their favorites. I had the sweet potato fries for starters and my hubby had this chicken fajita starter he said it tasted really good. However if I knew the food would have been so fulling I may have not got a starter. I had 2 drinks and the waitresses were overly nice especially to my hubby. My best friend told me it is a family friendly place when I came in a lot of kids were exiting. However for a family friendly place we found the waitresses were overly flirty (maybe for their tips) and had really short skirts. So that threw me off I didn't bring my son but I heard when it is a kids birthday they sing for them etc. It was my birthday and a lady birthday behind me and I am not sure if they do anything for adults birthday celebration. They did not offer me the dessert menu so I assumed that they didn't have. But i heard after that they do. The staff is really friendly the bartender as well. My hubby did not like how the food presentation was being that he works in a restaurant as well but he did enjoy the taste.Downfall:The waitress who was overly flirty seen we were full and my husband was rubbing his stomach. The waitress said to him "full baby?" she walked away and we sat there awkwardly. And laughed it off. For us it was funny however if it was anyone else I am sure they would have made a complaint. Plus:I loved the Jack Astors TV so funny and also loved the set up. Good food. Good drinks.Will definitely go back

This place was busy, but the service was still stellar. Food quantity/quality was good, prices were reasonable, and they have happy hour specials. What more could you ask for?
