Delicious food, very friendly staff. In this restaurant I have eaten for 2-3 months almost every day. The place is almost always full, mostly the same people come. No restaurant, but a very nice and cozy place to eat.

Today no high kitchen and no trendy Burgerladen! An invitation to the 70th birthday led us to the “Alter Godekin” restaurant in DO-Wellinghofen. We've never been here. My internet searches were largely unsuccessful. No website, no Facebook, hardly reviews on gastronomy portals. From the outside it seemed like a bourgeois pub. Sol eggs, cold frikadellen and mettbrötchen? Open and in. On the left of the long wooden steps I expected and on the right – I saw half-round arches everywhere: as passages, as wall coverings, as backrests of chairs and benches. All right, a Balkan restaurant. They used to say that they go to the “Yugoslav”. So there are still them! From the outside completely inconspicuous. Advertising, what is that? And yet they have existed with us for generations. From grandfather to father, from father to son. Almost like heirdynasts. The furnishings and decorative snapshots come from the 80s. Rustic plastered light walls. Matching ceiling lights over the tables. Some wall arches are mirrored inside and are supposed to provide the guest with even more space, while I counted about 80 places. It's not that small. And in the basement two bowling alleys and the toilet. It took a great time until I was curious about the menu after eating. At Pos. 204 “Zagreb cellar” I stopped counting.... it went on! The contents of the map are bare. In addition to an offer of so-called “international” food, even several Balkan dishes such as Satarasch €13 and Cevapcici €11 with many convenience products at the supplements. Fresh is just the salad buffet. They told me that the steaks were very good there. Prices are moderate. For example, grill plate with supplements 13 €, Rumpsteak with supplements from 18,50 €. Our jubilar had ordered a buffet with cold and hot dishes for its 30 guests. It consisted essentially of bourgeois German or German courts. The bid was really fine. Tomatoes with mozzarella and basil, cheese, smoked ham, vegetable antipasti, small grilled chicken lobes, fresh small rolls, salad buffet, tender beef with a dark roast sauce, delicate pork spelt in cream sauce with no fat content and tendons, juicy potato burl, noodles white asparagus had another bite. Three varieties dessert and two cakes rounded off the abundant food. For dinner I drank a dry white wine 0.2 l to 4 €, which was properly cooled at 10 degrees. It was a simple open wine, nothing special but well drinkable. The male service in black trousers and white shirts acted inconspicuous but attentive and friendly. The restaurant made a neat and clean impression. Conclusion: A very neat shop without heights and depths. Suitable for family celebrations. If you live nearby, you'll get tired here. Do I go to dinner? I don't think – unless I try satarasch like before – but without cooked egg!
