Bidra med feedbackI had the chicken hibachi. The chicken was flavorless and overcooked, dry. I asked to taste the peach sake before ordering it and it's just gekkikan mixed with peach schnapps. bleck! The atmosphere needs some repairs/updates ad noted and it was quite dark even at lunch time. Service was good and prompt, although this is a primarily Hispanic run Japanese restaurant which I just found odd. Not one single Japanese person in sight, maybe that's the issue but then again... I see no Japanese people at Rock n Roll sushi across town and they are 12/10 every. single. time. I should have just drove over there for a great lunch experience. Skip this place for a better experience.
Let me start off by saying we have been coming to Kinza loyally for YEARS. Most often when our child was in the NICU (at least twice a week! . We ate there two weeks ago without so much as a hitch, our meals were $45. Today we came back and ordered LESS and paid $72. Very disappointed. Food was not great. Service for lack of a better term sucked. My husband even had to go find a high chair for our child due to them not showing us where one was or even bringing it when we asked. I understand being but, for the price we paid we expected at least a decent meal. Both my child and I have not felt good since eating. We will not be back.
I don’t usually leave reviews but this place was by far the worst I’ve ever experienced at a Japanese restaurant. I ordered shrimp and fried snapper hibachi. They brought out these small salad shrimp which was overcooked with no seasoning. The fried snapper wasn’t fresh either. It had no seasoning. My wife ordered a medium well steak. The steak came out extra well done. The server clearly lacks training and knowledge about the menu or food when answering questions. The manager or whoever she was clearly didn’t care that our food lacked taste, substance and preparation. Instead she walked away. Needless to say, I did not leave a tip. I am still trying to figure out why are there so many good reviews on this place. I’m convinced that people in lower Alabama don’t know how food should taste. Please….if anyone is reading this and you have high standards for food DO NOT COME HERE. If you have any standards, DO NOT COME HERE.
Baby wanted dinner and I said let's do dinner somewhere we have eaten. I made a mistake ? choosing this establishment. The atmosphere at kinza is well designed. The service was not up standard our was a foreign national who spoke very little English. I requested a glass of water and a glass of the house Merlot wine. The wine was a complete and utter miss. I ordered the kinza house signature fried rice which would have been a simple house fried rice at any other restaurant serving Asian cuisine. The shrimp in my dish was diced up not one whole shrimp as well as overcooked. My love ordered the filet mignon with shrimp and fried rice. Her steak had been cut into little chunks resembling beef stew chunks. Her shrimp were also overcooked to the point she didn't want to eat them. She said the best part of her meal was the Miso soup ?. Otherwise her salad had too much salad dressing.
This is my fiancé and I ‘s favorite sushi place, always a good experience here.
