Casa Margarita - Downers Grove

This place was phenomenal! Our waitress, Suzanna(hope I spelled it right), had the fastest best customer service I have ever had! Like, since Covid-19 we have had some okay service. But this girl other staff was amazing! So much so that I had to ask for the manager tell how great this woman was! Everyone was so kind the food was amazing. Not too spicy! They had this warm dip, not sure if it was salsa, for their chips. Great flavor without burning off your tongue! The flavors here are like a symphony in your mouth!We use to go to the Casa Margarita on Bolingbrook all the time damn I miss this restaurant! We feel like we are treated like family no matter what location we go to! We will definitely be back! Also, dinner for 3 with the Monster Margarita was under $100!Kid-friendliness: They have a kid 's menu the bright colors lively atmosphere keeps the kiddos happy.Dietary restrictions: I have a gluten intolerance there are plenty of gluten friendly options there. For obvious reasons, I would recommend for Celiacs or those with Anaphylaxis to gluten or wheat. But, there are plenty of menu options where the dish is naturally made with no gluten.

All I can say is Wow! My wife and I were impressed by the service we received! The server, Susanna, was super fast and polite! We were impressed how they served us like a beautiful ballet!The food was also amazing! I got the fajitas and my wife got some seafood dish with shrimp and tilapia. We also got some type of queśo with Guacamole and beef in it. It tasted amazing. Also, none of the food was overly spicy like other places.Overall, we enjoyed ourselves. The ambiance was great too. All the staff seemed super happy in comparison to other reviews!Kid-friendliness: They have a kids menu.Dietary restrictions: My wife is gluten intolerant.

Nice place, however, it might need a bit of improvement. For example, the menu, the description it is a bit different from the actual plate, or the sides of plate are kind of standard, no matter what plate is one ordering. The service: you can perceive a sort of tense environment. Although the guy who attended our table was very attentive and willing to serve, the manner most of them are moving around seems like they are not exactly comfortable. This is not a fast food place, so micromanagement is not the key.The flavor and taste are kind of average, nothing extraordinary to talk about.The decoration and style matches with name and slogan, but Colombian music and coffee besides some other not so-Mexican things), does not match with a Mexican style of the traditional cuisine, though.I’m trying to be objective in my review, hoping somebody in charge take this in consideration. Maybe I will be there in the near future to see if they improved in certain matter. Everyone deserves an opportunity.The public in that area deserves the opportunity to know the authentic Mexican flavor.In regards of how they handle the COVID guidelines, I did not see any. The waiter was in the wrong business. He was forgetful, unorganized, a bad listener, and they had him on too many tables. There were three of us at the table, they brought us chips and salsa and we had to ask for napkins. He brought two. We had to tell him twice within two minutes to bring us setups, this was after our meals finally came out. One order was wrong. They food was overcooked, dried out and cold. You’d think a Mexican restaurant would make a great regular Margarita, but there, you’d be wrong. It tasted like it had orange juice in it. On no level did this place top Taco Bell.

We usually go to this place and it’s really good but this time it wasn’t. We get there today for lunch and it’s dead maybe a couple tables. We get seated right away and we wait almost 10 mins just to have a server greet us. She comes by and asks if we want beverages and if we are ready to order. We order drinks and our food. Drinks didn’t come until our food almost came out. She didn’t give my husband the water he ordered and my food order was wrong. We eat our food which is the same as always.She gives us our check and we wait over 10 mins for her to come grab it to ring it out. They were fully staffed so there is no excuse for the delay. They had 1 person at the bar, 1 at the pick up line, and 3 servers with 2 tables seated when we got there. They were too busy standing around talkingZ So disappointing.
