Black Bear Diner - Downey

I've been to a couple black bear diners, this one is by far the worst. Portions were very small. I ordered the biscuits and gravy, I had to pay extra for gravy cause they barely put any on there. The waitress wasn't on point either so it kinda makes everything even worse. I'll give them another try in the future, hopefully I have a better experience.

We had to wait just a couple of minutes to be seated. Our server was nice, took our drink order and then a different server took our food order. Everyone was happy with their food. I had the meatloaf, husband (birthday boy), son-in-law both had steak dinner, granddaughter had a beary pancake, and our daughter had eggs Benedict. We got the birthday boy a scrumptious banana cream pie. It was empty and quiet when we arrived but getting busy when we left.

Fun diner with lots of choices, fast service and good quantities. I wouldn't say it was amazing food, but good and at good prices.

Came for the breakfast and the large portions. Great value for price. Service is efficient and polite. There is plenty to choose from on the menu. Could be a wait depending on what time you show up. Ordered and food came out in due time as ordered. Leaving ad settling the check is easy. Plenty of parking outside. A good choice.
