Bidra med feedbackWE Visited the Cafe during the middle of the week. This cafe was the only breakfast option that was open in the town. The food was absolutely wonderful. Best choice we made on our two week camping trip. I had Eggs, Bacon and Hashbrowns and my husband had Pancakes, sausage and eggs. Delicious breakfast and fair prices.
Food was really good. Got the large biscuits and gravy with eggs. Also do yourself a favor and get some jam/jelly. Tasty treats
My fiancee and I ate breakfast here on our way out of downiville and it was lovely! Great service and food. We were the only people in the cafe and the owners son was our host, waiter, cook, and chatting companion throughout our meal. Even during the less popular months, they remain open and provide a great meal!
I dine there regularly and I’m a big fan. They’re open year-round. The café is small, featuring a few stands, a table, and a cozy bar. During the spring, summer, and fall, it can get quite crowded, so you might have to wait for a table. It’s the only breakfast place in town, and the nearest alternative is 13 miles away in Sierra City. They also offer delicious homemade jellies and jams.
A charming little café that feels like a step back in time. The food is excellent, and the service is super friendly! They offer a wide selection of hot sauces, and while enjoying your coffee, you can browse through old yearbooks from Downieville High School.
