Bidra med feedback[561] Out with a bunch of friends and we wanted Italian so we decided to try this place out. Plenty of parking as this is part of a strip mall. This restaurant is huge with various rooms for private parties and functions. My friend has used their catering services and loved the food. There is a nice huge bar which was crowded on the Friday evening I visited. The restaurant needs to look a bit warmer. I 'm thinking perhaps table cloths would help. I think the space is huge. We opted for a table and glad we did. Our waiter Kyle was a young man but well trained. Very helpful and attentive. He seemed like a seasoned pro. Plenty of staff to help. I ordered the mushroom soup which was amazing. I really enjoyed it. My friends had the salad which they enjoyed. For Dinner I had my usual Chicken parmigiana and I was not disappointed. Two large pieces of chicken with their gravy . Very tasty. They make their pasta fresh. I think they said in house. It was very tasty and you can tell the difference. We skipped dessert. We chatted at our table for a while after dinner finished. We never felt rushed. I will definitely be back!
TL;DR: A wonderful night out with delicious food and attentive folks. Food: Great. Appetizers: Scripelle Soup crepes with Parmesan in chicken broth. After a bit it reminded me of long matzo but with cheese. Eggplant Parmesan best dish we had. Lightly breaded, provolone, red sauce that was slightly thicker than the one to follow with my pasta. My wife raved about this when I mentioned Anthony's this week. Entrees: Gnocchi Calabro served with shrimp, chicken, spinach, sun dried tomatoes in a cream sauce. Tasty even the day after. Gnocchi with Anthony's Gravy served with red sauce and homemade meatballs. I made two more meals of this. Sides: Bread, butter, peppers in oil. Desert: Cannoli. Large, with drizzled chocolate and cream. Yum. Service: Taken care of well by Kayla, our server. Had a great conversation with Pat, who checked up on us during our meal. Noise level: Quiet. We sat on the dining room side. There is a bar side too. Parking/Transit: Drexeline Shopping Center, back section. Next to the SEPTA 101 trolley stop for Drexeline. Very convenient. Great to see a local place serving consistent food doing well, with terrific service. We'll be back.
Very quiet on a Tuesday night, but I had still booked an OpenTable reservation just in case. So when I arrived, I decided that I would rather not sit in a mostly empty dining room on my own and I took a seat at the bar. Of course, they have Peroni in bottles so I ordered one of those while looking over the menu. I chose the caesar salad to start and the (handmade) ravioli with meatballs. The salad was served in a chilled bowl with plenty of croutons and enough garlic to kill a battalion of vampires. Tasty. Just as the salad was finishing up, my large bowl of ravioli arrived. Lots of delicious Marinara sauce that scooped up nicely from the contents of the bread basket. The ravioli were quite tasty and nicely cooked to al dente. The meatballs were good, not great. A little tough but also quite tasty. I opted not to have dessert here. This location is a little hard to find go around the supermarket to the left and you'll find another building.
Fantastic dinner and drinks tonight w family. Food is always fantastic as well as service'nn
Came here for lunch it was ok,nothing exciting to make me want to come back... I arrived the waiter was ok,non-welcoming. Service as dry. The waiter placed bread frozen butter on the table( Idk what he expected me to do with that). I specifically told him i want my pizza extra crispy, well done, burn it if you have to(I like what I like) as you can see my pizza did not come out how I wanted, came out dry just like the service. I sat it a side for him to notice i was not going to eat it. The waiter was sitting at the bar talking, what happened to restaurants even if there is nothing to do FIND SOMETHING TO DO OR ACT LIKE YOUR BUSY!!!Not sit around. After 4min he came over asked Do you want to box it up? I said no, I told you burnt pizza is what I wanted got it handled but my appetite was already ruined. Clam casino was eeehhh. Pasta peas was good. Didn 't get refill in my water glass thank God I had a water bottle in my purse I ended up drinking that.
