Very limited choice and not very busy it’s a real hit and miss food very average and priced a little high ,service could be a lot better wouldn’t be in a hurry back

I stayed at the Maldron hotel few times in the last 4 years. The restaurant went through changes all the time and each time for the better. The place is well maintained and very pleasant.

Since I first used this hotel some years ago, its in-house restaurant has noticeably improved. There are some locally prepared dishes such as the Irish fish chowder which was very nice. The service is a little slow. If you are on your own and don 't want a full bottle of wine, there are quarter bottles, but the choice is not great. The prices are OK, although if you wanted strip loin steak (what is that? it would be over €20. Not sure the location would suit many people other than hotel guests.

We enjoyed breakfast and evening Dinner in this hotel restaurant. The restaurant/bar is well furnished and comfortable. Dinner is waiter service. The evening menu is reasonable, but the food is incredibly well presented with good size portions and value for money was unbeatable. As was the breakfast, with a huge choice from the self-service counters. All beautifully well prepared, and all the food looked very tempting.

I ate here for dinner, and the food was reasonably priced for a hotel, and very tasty. I would not rush for breakfast if you want anything more than a fry limited fresh fruit etc if you are trying to be healthy.
