Bidra med feedbackWe were around town today, so popped into the Powerscourt Centre to see if we could get something to eat. Found the Pepper Pot cafe which is located upstairs. You have to queue up and order your food first, then a table is assigned to you and they then bring the food to you when it is ready. Not a huge selection but the food we had was delicious. My wife had the warm salad whilst I had the sausage Pear sandwich. My wife said that the warm salad would also be lovely if they served it with pears instead of the chorizo. Coffee was served in an old china cup which was nice. My wife asked for hot water which arrived in a teapot but no cup. I asked the server for a cup but she never came back with it. The food arrived about 4 mins later we asked that server for a cup. She did come back with it, thank goodness.
Lovely place for breakfast or brunch. Great coffee and pastries and the breakfast sandwich I got was delicious. Friendly service and food came out quickly. Everything was fresh and tasted great.
Excellent tasty food, quick service, cute crockery and absolutely gorgeous surroundings of greenery. thanks to fionn for being a great waiter! highly recommend this place for brunch :
The bread is sort of the Platonic ideal of bread, it is ridiculously soft and the crust is so delicious and chewy, yet crisp. The Victoria sponge is absolutely amazing as well, the sponge itself tastes almost buttery even though it is very light, and the raspberry jam has a very strong, yet natural flavour. It can get quite busy but it is super worth it to wait.
Fab cafe with an amazing view inside powerscourt centre. Food and coffee were delicious.
