Taverne Pegasos - Düsseldorf

The food at Pegasos is always good and the atmosphere is quite authentic. The staff are generally friendly, but sometimes are a bit busy and stressed. You can sit outside in Summer but it is on the street so not necessarily peaceful.

Very nice greek taverna. Good moussaka and ouzo. Friendly service and price level is ok. Good choice.

We had been here for dinner with a big group of 25 persons.. spacious restaurant.. good food but not so great..it is supposed to be very famous for Greek cuisine but I think it was not as good as expected... they were efficient in serving cold starters and salad and drinks but service for main course was too slow..they took too long to serve the main course..most of our group really wanted to leave when they served main course..May be they didn't have enough staff in kitchen..

I saw this place when walking past the previous night and it looked busy. Next day I popped in here for a beer after a bit of shopping around 5pm. Place empty but staff friendly. Called back again around 6:30pm and was given a seat near the door. The waiter (owner?) remembered me and got me a weizen. Menu really good and I had trouble choosing. I don't normally have starters but had to go for the grilled octopus. It was good. Main was souvlaki and again very good, served with boiled potatoes, which were delicious, and broccoli. I'm in Dusseldorf for one more night and am seriously considering going back again!

This is a very straightforward restaurant with two very polite and helpful waiters - the menu is relatively simple and the prices are very reasonable. Not very exciting establishment and it you merely want a quick meal, drink and leave within 30 minutes this is the place for you. No real criticism - it is clean, tidy, ok and you get what you would expect for the price.
