La Trattoria - Duisburg

It seemed to me that the price was on the higher side for Germany but the food was really good and the wine aswell!

Take a seat at one of the long tables, amidst other guests, friends or friends to be and let yourself be treated to authentic italian dishes, suggestions from the owner and waiters, or just check what's on the plates around you. round it...up with an espresso, dessert and/or grappa.

While visiting friends in Duisburg we visited this restaurant we were lucky to get a reservation as we only gave day notice we got a table for o'clock and by this time the restaurant was half full.We were greeted warmly by the staff...and shown to our table ,service was very good and the food superb. It was a very busy night and we were not hurried to leave.The meals were reasonably priced and the house red wine good.We intend to visit the restaurant on our return to Duisburg next year.In our opinion highly recommended.

We went to this restuarant on the recommendation of the hotel where we are staying on a business trip. It is a small restaurant with a nice atmosphere. The food was pretty good and well priced. The service was average we didn't speak any...German and there was no real effort to help us understand the menu. They don't accept card payments, I don't know if this is normal for Duisburg but it is a long time since I have been anywhere whilst travelling which didn't. This is clearly not somewhere that has much business travel as the idea of giving us a receipt rather than just a number written on a bit of paper seemed to annoy the waiter.

It is a small restaurant wiht a enough to choose. The wine they recommend with the food tastes excellent. The cosy sphere and the good food is an excellent combination.
