Mayfly - Dullstroom

So disappointing. chips brown and overcooked. Peaceful calamari soggy and oily. such a disappointment.

The service was excellent and the portion sizes were generous. The broken mushroom and pizza were both delicious. The cheese in the roasted cheese dish was a bit harder than I anticipated, I would have preferred a more melt-in-your-mouth texture. However, overall it was a pleasant dining experience.

Busy place in a small town. Good variety of options on the menu. Unfortunately they had issues with the pizza oven so food took an hour to come. The trout dish was great. The lasagne was very avg. Will try them next time again.

We always love the food at Mayfly... Had the oxtail, breakfast... And we had pizza yesterday and it was the best pizza we had in Dullstroom. Love the atmosphere and just finishing a bottle of wine with your food and enjoying great company. Great gin cocktails!

We arrived in Dullstroom late one night and called Mayfly on the way to ensure we would make it before the kitchen closed. They informed us that orders were cut off at 21:00, but we were able to make it just in time. The staff at Mayfly were exceptional - they took our drink orders promptly and allowed us to take our time with our food choices. The food was prepared quickly, without compromising on taste or value. The menu offered a wide range of options to choose from. The staff even went the extra mile to accommodate our request to watch the rugby match, with one staff member checking with another establishment to see if they would be showing it. Despite arriving late, we never felt pressured or rushed, which was greatly appreciated from the management and staff.
