Bidra med feedbackThis is not a fine dining restaurant. What this place is, is that homey reliable place you go to for that home cooked fare. The place is spotless. Price point is very good and servings are generous. Taste, like I mentioned brings back that homey comfort food feeling when at home. Foreigners do not know what theyre talking about. This is a cafeteria type, self service turo turo place at the ground level of a hotel. But the staff are welcoming, nice and helpful if you need anything. Will definitely visit every chance I will be in Dumaguete
Reasonable price, good ambiance, good food....but the proximity of the tables to the counter is not good, especially whe someone bumped your chair, and would look at you, as it seemed it was your fault!
Cafe Filomena in Bethel guest house / hotel is a familiar lunch venue whenever we're in Dumaguete. It's clean with varied Pinoy food (has halo halo, too) and very inexpensive. There's also lots of take home pasalubong like local candies, siopao and more. And the view is great, the boulevard and the bay. Will recommend this place.
For convenience' sake, we chose to have breakfast at Cafe Filomena. Just downstairs from our rooms at the Bethel Guest house, it offered a variety of breakfast fare to choose from in a cafeteria-like setting. The 'silog' meals at P90 are alright, but the Boneless Danggit wasn't as crispy as it should be. The fruit plates and sweet kakanin are a good addition to one's meal. If you're not expecting too much and just want a hearty breakfast to start the day, then this cafe fits the bill.
Nothing too surprising or impressive, but a nice selection of different foods, and nothing is too expensive. Cafeteria type of place, grab your tray and tell them what you want (or grab what is available to grab). I had beef with cashews, very good.
