Bidra med feedbackLast weekend my family and I celebrated my Grandpa’s 86th birthday in the new location for Carluccio’s Restaurant in Glasthule. I’m a big fan of Carluccio’s of Dawson Street so I had high hopes standards for the food at their new restaurant. I shared starters with my brother uncle, and they were pretty delicious! My lobster main was quite tasty and my dessert was plentiful, though they did fall short of their usual standard. The staff was excellent in catering to our needs (two young children and a vegetarian amongst a party of 13) and the final bill was rather reasonable considering we all ordered a three-course lunch with drinks, cocktails, wine coffees. I do recommend trying Carluccio’s though, especially with their new close-to-the-sea location.<br/ <br/ Tried Tested: Bellini cocktail, Tonno e Fagioli (A salad of cannellini beans and barley topped with tuna and dressed with lemon and extra virgin olive oil with toasted focaccia bread), Pepolata Arancini (Crispy fried pepolata and mozzarella rice balls served with a pepper mayonnaise for dipping), Lobster Spaghetti (Lobster tossed in spaghetti with crab, fresh tomato, basil and chilli), Salted Caramel Chocolate Ice Cream Sundae.
I had lunch at this restaurant and was impressed by their excellent lunch deal: two courses for just €14.99. The ambiance is lovely, and the layout of the place is very appealing. The staff is knowledgeable and well-versed in the menu. I ordered the mushroom soup as well as the planetta and spinach ravioli, and both dishes were of exceptional quality. I can't fault the value, service, or food at all. I highly recommend this spot!
If you enjoy sharing food, this restaurant is a great choice. The menu offers plenty of sharing options, allowing you to sample any three pastas for two people if you're having trouble choosing from the twelve available options. They also feature a small selection of tapas-style dishes, priced at three for twelve euros. The portion sizes are generous, and the prices are very reasonable, with most pasta dishes costing around twelve euros. I started with the smoked mozzarella, which was fantastic, and then had a spicy sausage pasta paired with a Verde salad for my main course, which truly made my evening! Our waitress was very attentive and friendly as well. I thoroughly enjoyed the food here and would definitely return.
One of my favorite spots! The food is consistently beautiful, the staff is wonderful, and the atmosphere is cozy. I always recommend it to my friends when they're in the area.
