Bidra med feedbackIt's the third time I've eaten here and again impressed by the kebabs. As a Lebanese origin, I am quite fussy about my falafel and humus, which they really nailed well. But her tabouleh is fine as Turkish, but not as Lebanese, but they are a Turkish restaurant, so I'm fine with it. Very delicious chicken and falafel kebab last night.
Bought some takeaway pizzas tonight and we're quite surprised by the way we had underestimated the size of the medium size pizzas (our fault). We ordered an extra pizza when we went to pick up and having seen our surprise of the pizza sizes the pizza store owner made us a very generous offer for the extra pizza, it was done very quickly and tasted great.
The crust of their pizza and overall quality is far superior than the big ticket pizza places like Domino's and Pizza Hut, which explains the higher price of their pizzas. It is less than a five minute walk from our place but we don't order pizza from the place purely because the affordability. It is a gourmet and small operation. The place is very tidy and has a few tables where you can eat your pizza.
Mixed feelings. I had a Kebab salad which was a generous size and the mint tabouleh was very tasty; however the meat was a bit dry. I had ordered chicken but ended up with a mix of chicken and another meat (probably lamb) which must have been pre-cooked and reheated. Not bad; but not 5-star either.
Used to have the best Kebabs of any place I have been to. I always go there when i come to Dunedin. Tonight though was a major disappointment it was more of a toasted wrap with lots of coleslaw plus meat. Not sure what's happened, maybe new owners?
