Bidra med feedbackAt Tre Forni, you leave the Hope Valley Commons shopping area, taking a culinary journey to Napoli. As soon as I stepped inside and heard the melodies of Eros Ramazzotti and Tiziano Ferro, I knew I was in a genuine Italian locale. Piles of firewood and cans of fresh tomatoes and olive oil line the entrance, creating an inviting atmosphere that leads you to the three hot ovens. The menu is straightforward: pizza with red sauce or white sauce. It's not complicated, and the focus is entirely on the flavor. They also offer local craft beers and wines; I chose a Montepulciano red to complement my Margherita pizza. After placing and paying for my order at the counter, I received a red number card and found a seat at one of the rustic wooden tables. The walls are adorned with icons of Italian cities and culture, illuminated by the warm glow of a wood-fired oven. There's a dedicated area where the pizza dough is prepared before being topped and placed into the oven. With such high temperatures, it only takes about a minute and a half to bake, resulting in a beautifully puffy crust. A friendly waitress in a Tre Forni t-shirt delivered my pizza to the table, allowing me to relish this Italian masterpiece. My Margherita pizza was perfect, and I even sampled a bite of the prosciutto and arugula pizza, which was equally delightful. Everything was expertly crafted, and I highly recommend visiting for an authentic experience. Many people compare Tre Forni to Pizzeria Toro and Pompieri in the city center; while all three offer unique experiences, Tre Forni feels much more casual and is located in a strip mall, providing a different vibe than the more chaotic urban settings of the other two. Prices range from $13 to $19 per pizza, making it slightly more affordable than Toro and a little pricier than Pompieri. Complimenti, Tre Forni! I can’t wait to come back!
We're excited to enjoy some Italian cuisine tonight! It's hard to go wrong with a white pizza, salad, and spicy soppressata pizza. Practicing for our trip to Italy is a lot of fun, and thanks to Treforni Pizza, we'll definitely be back soon!
The wood-fired pizza here is authentic and delicious. It reminds me of the best pizzas I've had at other restaurants in Durham. I find myself coming here twice a week!
I had only a wonderful eating experience. large spinach salad and a fresh and fully flavored napoli style pizza. have loved every bite!
This place consistently serves the best neopolitan style pizza in the area. They also have a great lunch special. Those 3 wood fired ovens are legit.
