Chicory Common Natural Foods & Cafe

The food is fantastic and the atmosphere quite enjoyable! the store was a great place to browse and pick up a few items that I needed. my overall experience was quite good.note to counter staff... when someone is standing at the counter waiting to order the dishes in the back are not a priority. ;)

I used to visit this restaurant/cafe at least once/week. But there has been a change in chef in the past year or so and not what it used to be. Food is good, but not the delicious food it was. Very expensive which I would normally be more than willing to pay for fresh local organic but the quality and quantity not worth the wait. I ordered a sandwich - I thought a smoked trout sandwich sounded delicious, but after a 40 minute wait, it was just a sandwich - literally nothing comes with it. A piece of smoked trout with mayo and chopped pickles with lettuce hanging out of the bread. Taxes included it cost $11.81. The wait staff offered to deliver to me a couple of store fronts down the street since it would take 20 minutes before it would be ready. Very thoughtful and kind so I tipped her 20% for going out of her way. But I should have waited. It took 40 minutes before it was delivered and I was tied up by then with a client so didn't get a chance to eat lunch until 3:30 pm. If they really need 40 minutes to put a sandwich together then they need another chef to help. I can't see where the traffic has increased - just seems the chef they have can't handle the volume. I unfortunately can't continue to eat at this location. Very disappointing - I always looked forward to the treat of eating fresh local food.

Just undergone a facelift on the front facade of the store, gone from tired looking to fresh. They have also added nicer sidewalk outdoor seating. Centrally located.

All in one natural store with delicious food, unique options, great service, made fresh and fast. Try the South Western wrap and finish it off with a scrumptious brownie.

Had lunch....very good, very fresh, friendly service...great health food store , parking in the rear very handy
